How do you envision the role of female leaders evolving in the next decade?
The role of female leaders is likely to continue evolving significantly over the next decade, driven by broader societal shifts toward equality, diversity, and inclusivity, as well as by changing workplace dynamics and global challenges. As more companies and organizations prioritise diversity and inclusion, we'll see more women in leadership roles across industries. Initiatives like gender quotas, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities for women are likely to further elevate the number of female leaders in the next decade. Female leaders are increasingly taking up prominent roles in global advocacy, whether it’s in climate change, human rights, or social justice. Their voices will likely grow louder on the global stage as they drive conversations around sustainability, equity, and social change, particularly as women’s movements become more interconnected globally. As the accountancy profession increasingly integrates technology, such as automation, and artificial intelligence (AI), female leaders will play a critical role in driving these innovations. Women will help shape the future of accounting by leading digital transformation efforts, ensuring that technology not only enhances the efficiency of financial reporting and auditing processes but also makes these tools more accessible and user-friendly for clients.
